Parameter 1 to Low_variables_ext::sessions_end() expected to be a reference, value given

shinymuhammed 7 May 2017 11:34 question, complete

We got following warning while upgrading EE from 2.5.5 to 3.5.4 -

Warning
Parameter 1 to Low_variables_ext::sessions_end() expected to be a reference, value given
C:/xampp/htdocs/intranet3/system/ee/legacy/libraries/Extensions.php, line 243 show details

Severity: E_WARNING

Current LV version 2.2.1. Tried to make LV2.2.1 compatible to EE3.5.5 by adding addon.setup.php file in LV-addon folder.
What is the possible solution to remove this warning?
Upgrade LV-2.2.1 to LV-3.0.4 is this the only solution?

You can't make a complex add-on like LV EE3 compatible by just throwing a addon.setup.php file in there.

You need to upgrade to LV v3+ for EE3 compatibility.

    ok Thank you..

    Downloaded LV v3.0.4.

How can I upgrade LV v2.2.1 to 3.0.4 from EE2.5.5 website before upgrading to EE3.5.4.

As per the instructons from http://gotolow.com/addons/low-variabl... ,

I can overwrite the low_varible folder in /system/expressionengine/third_party (from

EE2.5.5 website) directory with low_variables folder in downloaded folder

    (low_variables_v304) of low variables version3.0.4.

What will I do with low_variable folder in /themes/third_party directory(from EE2.5.5 website)? Delete this folder or Keep this folder as such in that directory?
