Is there a way to filter and narrow search results on the front-end?

For example: If the search results shows Products and Blogs collection, I would like for user to be able to narrow the search results by collection

   Yep. That's absolutely possible with Low Search.
   
   In your example, I'd make use of the URL tag to generate a new search results URL based on the given query, explicitly setting the channel="" (or collection="") parameter.
