Multilingual events show up in doubles – Low Events and Transcribe

romadev 11 Jun 2019 10:44 problem, rejected

Hi! I just updated an EE page from 2.x to 5.2. It is multilingual and uses Transcribe for that. Since the update, the events page shows both languages in every situation. With the old versions everything worked fine so I didn’t expect a bug there. Any ideas?

It is a normal entries tag like this:
{exp:low_events:entries channel="event" dynamic="no" sort="asc" disable="categories|category_fields|member_data|pagination|trackbacks"}
...

If I change it to a normal exp:channel:entries-Tag, it shows the correct language, but the event functionalities as show_passed etc. are not working ...

Thanks!

    I don't know how Transcribe works, but maybe you need to set the language on the tag manually, somehow? I'd ask Transcribe's devs about this.

    Maybe, but they won’t know about the low_events-tag, wouldn’t they? Or what do you mean? And why did it work with EE 2 then?

    They say it works with almost any add-on, so ping them if you have Qs.

    I don't know why it did work before; as I mentioned, I don't know how Transcribe works, nor have I ever tested LE with Transcribe. If it worked before, it's because of something Transcribe did. If it doesn't now, it's because of how Transcribe works now. Sorry, but that's all I know about it.

    Ok I did contact them, thank you. I thought Transcribe is the de facto standard for EE multilingual sites nowadays and didn’t think enough as it seems ... ;-)
