Grid not saving in LV 3.3.0/EE 5.2.2
Hey Low - I have a fresh EE 5.2.2 install for an in-development site. I created a new Grid with three columns - two text inputs and a File field.
Adding one or more rows, it won't save. It just refreshes back to the group screen with an empty Grid field.
variable_data is empty for the global variable. exp_low_variables_grid_field_X exists, but is empty.
Any ideas where I can start troubleshooting?

So, no error messages? Do other vars in the group save okay?

Correct on both counts - no error messages, and other vars in the group save just fine.

For each Grid column, what are the field settings? Any fields marked as required or included in search?

All three columns in the Grid are marked as required and searchable. Removing both options doesn't change the outcome unfortunately.

Unfortunately this is local, so I can't get you in. But I have narrowed the issue down to the presence of a File field in the Grid. Once I remove that File column, the Grid works just fine.
I think something about the File field might be resetting the "name" and "id" properties on the Grid fieldtype, so when it tries to set and get the cached data for post_save, it comes up empty.

And what if that column is there but you leave it be? Do other columns save ok?
If the file column craps out, you don't get a 'Saved vars except:...' message (indicating there was a validation error for the Grid field)?

Sorry Low, ran out of time to troubleshoot this, and broke it out into a channel and Select Entries var instead. If I find more time at the end of the project I will revisit!

Alrighty. It was sounding more and more like an issue with the native File field in Grid. Let me know if you need more help.

I'm having this problem, exactly, except with Assets. You can look at mine. Strange thing is: it used to work!
