Full Low Search Tutorial with Context?

watermelonkid 5 Nov 2018 23:02 question, complete

The documentation has been helpful with general concepts for a newbie (template_tags, examples, etc.), but I've been hoping to find an actual tutorial/video with example code that kind of puts the whole thing together to build a working Search and Results page (preferably EE2, but I think anything would be helpful).

Specifically, I'm trying to figure out the best way to set up a form that has a keyword search, a search that filters multiple categories or channel fields, and an example of creating a 'distance from' search. There are examples of these in the Examples section, but not as a real world example in some ways.

Are there any tutorials out there showing some of these concepts in full context?

I guess giving "real world" examples is slightly subjective. I'm not aware of any tutorials around.

If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to answer them. I also offer implementation aid for a fee if you want to leave the implementation of LS over to me.

Thanks, Low. Had to ask, as many of the pastebin examples, etc. on the forum have expired at this point, so not a lot of places to see how different people approached their real world examples. This of course makes sense granted EE's place in the world now versus 6-7 years ago :) I'm the one late to the party!

    I'll hit you up privately.
