Just came back from a thing, so a short reply -- Didn't even know EL released 4.1.1, but if they're using semantic versioning like they say they do, this is probably due to caching or something like that. In the 4.1 dev preview, the LE field worked just fine.
Anyhoo, ask EllisLab if you're in a hurry; I can try and see if I can reproduce tomorrow.

You are right. this is related to caching; so no need to do anything. Sorry about that.
