Low Search Results - 500 error or PHP error

JeremyBechtold 30 Oct 2017 23:07 problem, rejected

I recently discovered an error with LS on a client's site, and my dev has asked me to submit a mention of it here until he gets a chance to look at it in case I can tweak something in the meantime...

When searching for an unknown string, I get the proper result, stating that nothing could be found. But when searching on a product name, brand, or other ee entry title string, I get either a 500 server error (if I'm not logged into ee cp), or a php error if I am logged in. details of both errors shown below... please and thank you.

Which versions of EE and LS are you using here?

sorry, I meant to paste them into the original post and forgot. I'll edit the post now to include it but to answer you directly, LS 3.0.0 and EE 2.11.9. I'll get php specs as well before editing the original post.

    LS: 3.0.0
    EE: 2.11.9
    PHP: 5.6.30

my dev was expecting to update LS shortly to 5.2.0 which I downloaded for him last night. not sure if that'll happen today as it was expected this morning when I handed the files to him, or tomorrow when he originally said he'd look into this issue on the whole.

LS v5 is for EE3 only. Use the latest legacy version (4) for EE2. Download it from the main addon page on devot:ee, under Legacy Downloads.
