Date type not coming up

The Date variable type isn't an option in the Low Variables setting area for me to activate. Also went to my fieldtypes, saw the Date is installed, uninstalled it, re-installed in, but still not coming up in Low Variables settings.

   The date type is only available in EE3+. For EE2 and below, you can use a third party date type:
