Low Search and Datagrab

kevhoran 19 Nov 2015 18:01 problem, rejected

Im using Low Search 4.3.1 and Datagrab 1.8.0 on EE 2.10.1. Ive got a channel which I need to populate via a CSV file which Ive done. The relevant fields are searchable and Ive created the collection, built the index and lexicon and the fields are weighted.

Searches won't return a result unless I go to an entry and save it in EE. There are thousands of entries, so I was wondering if there was a way around this? Should Low Search work on a channel populated via Datagrab?

I see no reason why it shouldn't work, actually. LS uses a hook to populate the index on entry save, and I think that hook is triggered when Datagrab adds an entry, too. Now, I'm not all that familiar with Datagrab, so I'm not 100% sure.

But if you rebuild the index after a Datagrab import, the entries should definitely be searchable.

Thanks – Ive tried rebuilding the index but I dont get a result unless I actually go in and manually save the entry. It must be a datagrab issue.

Ive updated to the latest version of datagrab which has resolved the issue.
