No Results on all searches, just upgraded from 3.2 to 4.3.1

Gary Reckard 27 May 2015 20:19 problem,

I just upgraded my Low Search from 3.2.0 to 4.3.1, and now all of my searches come up with no results! Did something change about the tag syntax? Please help!

There have been some changes, but nothing significant: http://gotolow.com/addons/low-search/...

Have you tried to rebuild your indexes? And if you turn on template debugging and look up the lines that mention LS, what does that say?

    Hi again,

This is my Form tag: http://pastebin.com/DFpft8KB

This is my Results tag: http://pastebin.com/Av5gZDbC

I have tried to rebuild my indexes. At first, I was getting the same error this guy was getting (https://getsatisfaction.com/low/topic...), but I was able to fix that by lowering the batch size, as I commented on that topic... but that didn't fix the issue.

I have another search on the site that IS still working...

Here is what I see that looks relevant in my template debugger.

AND THANKS for your goddamn quick reply! Whoa

Oh, and I'm on EE v2.9.0 if that's any help

I just noticed, on line 55 of that template debugger pastebin (http://pastebin.com/PxeQr8H3), it has the relevant search results entry id's listed in that fixed_order="" parameter! Why then is it "Returning No Results Content"?

The template debugger indicates that the keywords filter indeed finds entries to pass on to the channel:entries tag, but it looks like it gets negated somehow.

This could be due to future/expired entries, so you might want to check that.

Also, but this is a long shot, try to add dynamic="no" to the Results tag. LS will set that parameter automatically, but I've seen one other case where it still made a difference.

Holy carp, that dynamic="no" worked! Weird!

It's even weirder that I had another search on the site that searched different channels, that never broke, and doesn't have dynamic="no"

Well, thanks for your help, Low!

    Gary

    Glad it helped!

    Now to find out why...
