Low Search wont build a particular index

Aaron Jay 31 Mar 2015 10:19 problem, active

I have low search installed and working, except there is one index that wont build. The one in question has 144 records in it, where others have 3020 records, so I don't think it is based on size. The build runs to 100, withe following information as an error returned:

Error Number: 2006
MySQL server has gone away

Any ideas on this?

    That's a new one.

Does this happen every time, or is it intermittent? What happens if you decrease (or increase) the batch size?

This happens every time. And on the same collection. I tried deleting the collection and re-instating it, but the same thing happens. Could it be content?

I changed the batch size to 50 and at 100 it did the same thing. This error is at the bottom of a very long list of information as well if it is any good to you.

I'll need to take a look myself. Please send SuperAdmin and FTP login credentials to hi at gotolow dot com if you can.

I was getting this same error. I changed the 'Collection batch size' from 100 to 25 and the error went away, and I was able to index the collection that was causing this error.

I had just upgraded Low Search and several other add-ons today... and I noticed that no matter what I searched for, I got no results. So I tried re-indexing, and that's when I got this error. Now that I've lowered the batch size, and no longer get this error, I'm still getting "No Results" on all queries! Do I have to change some of my markup, due to the upgrading my Low Search add-on?
