Clear Items from query string : Toolbar | Currently Searching By

I was wondering if there is any way for clearing a particular element from the query string....

I want to show a toolbar + currently searching by section

CURRENT STRING = ?category="2|5|9"

In currently searching by the <a href="<b<THIS LINK SHOULD REMOVE BOTTLES FROM THE MAIN QUERY STRING/9</b>">Bottles</a>

is this possible w/o using the checkbox option?

   Take a look at the URL Tag. That should fit your needs.
