Overwrite entry and expiration dates /separately/

Rick 29 Oct 2013 11:57 idea, pending

HI; I love using Low Events and I especially like the fact that I can have the entry_date automatically match the low events date. Eg. I have a channel listing books, and it means that the books can be listed in the CP in order of publication, not in order of when they were entered into the database.

However, this also overwrites the expiration date which I would, if I had the option, leave blank -- all those books are in the past, after all, so having the expiry date overwritten means that I have to go in and add show_expired="yes" everywhere that the low events date is referenced in the templates. Not a *huge* chore, sure, even when I have numerous channels each with an LE field -- but a task that would be avoided if I could select whether to overwrite the entry_date and/or expiration date separately, i.e. if they had separate checkboxes in the field setup.

Just an idea.
Thanks.
