Search filters by field and polarity and most liked- Filtering search results. . . .

Adam Diamantides 25 Oct 2013 18:30 question, complete

Hi, I am interested in using low search for an online resources database.

I have a channel field called resource type which has 7 options : report, guide . . .and so on . . . . .

I would like users to have the ability to type in keywords add filters to the search such as "resource type" and category.

I would also like to be able to filter entries by most popular and most liked ( using like ee)

Please can you tell me if Low Search will handle all of this. Any advise is much appreciated.

Best regards,

Adam

    Hi Adam,

You can use Low Search to filter by Keyword and by a value targeting a specific field.

Ordering the results by popular / most liked is only possible if it already is using the native channel:entries tag. Not sure if it can, especially with the Likee add-on.

If need be, custom extensions for Low Search can be made to allow for more custom filtering and ordering, using the extension hooks in Low Search.
