I have indexes, i have weights etc etc, just nothing comes back.

my code is as below:
{exp:low_search:form collection="events|news"packages|pages|resources|team_members" search_mode="all" result_page="search/resources-results" form_class="navbar-form pull-right" status="open"}

    By the way, omitting the collection="" parameter altogether will search through all. Just like not setting the channel="" parameter with the channel:entries tag.

    Ahh, so if i do collection="" then that is basically search nothing. I stupidly put collection="" thinking if i omitted any collections is would search all. But evidently if i omit the param altogether it will search across all collections.

    I was having such a dreadful day yesterday, nothing worked, and then this wasn't working and it was head vs desk time :)

    Thanks again Low.

    collection="" should also search all collections, actually. Should, mind you. :)
