Can Low Alphabet be used to display categories rather than entries

Can Low Alphabet be used to display categories rather than entries? I'm looking to build an a-z of brands on an ecommerce website and these brands are categories rather than entries. Cheers.

   I'm afraid not. Low Alphabet returns entries only. You could consider making the brands Entries and relating them to other entries using either native Relationships or Playa, to simulate categories.
