Is there a way to create a low reorder set that filters on Category 1 && Category 2?

userfusion 10 Sep 2013 15:50 problem, complete

Hey Low,

I've run into an issue when trying to use low reorder.

Im making a fashion site which sells loads of dresses.

There reside in a dresses channel. There are going to be hundreds of dresses, split into 5 collections, and new collections are released annually.

so you would have Collection A (2013), Collection B (2013), Collection A(2012).. etc

I tried to set this up so that the collection name, and the year are set as categories from 2 different category groups.
I thought this was all working fine when I setup my first test set / 'collection' (Collection A 2013).
However when I setup a set for managing Collection A (2012) I discovered a problem.. The category filtering only uses an OR relationship between multiple category filters and not an && relationship. So all dresses from Collection A regardless of year are showing up.

Is there an easy way for me to change your module to allow this (Im happy to tinker with PHP if needs be) OR is there an easy way to delete the unwanted entries from the set?

I hope this makes sense :)

Thanks,
Neil

I'm afraid Low Reorder currently doesn't support that. I'll make a note of it as a feature request. You could consider making the Year a custom field and use that to filter the entries.

    Hi Low,

Just wanted to let you know along with anyone else who has a similar problem in the future this solution works great for me.

And also nice work for adding the facility to say in the fields filters Year = NOT 2014 building a general archive of all non current items is now a piece of cake!

    Thanks again!
