Command-click does not work as expected / form action attribute equals to site home URL

Freshmango 2 Sep 2013 14:56 problem, rejected

I often submit forms with option-click (on a mac) to get the search results in a separate tab. This seems not to work with Low Search because the form action equals the site home page URL and not the search results URL.

I tried to overwrite the action attribute with the form_action parameter. But that outputs to action attributes and does also not work with command-click.

Any ideas/tips?

That's EE's native way of dealing with forms, I'm afraid. Try with the native search form; you'll find the same behaviour. I need to submit to the index page, 'cause EE processes form submissions using ACTions, that all run through the index.
