Search using row 1 of Matrix

Andy Doran 28 Jul 2013 13:29 question, complete

I'm using Low Search to set up a search/filter.

My price options are held in a matrix field. Each row has a name, product code and a price. However, only the first row is the main price that I need to use in the search.

Is there a way of using this first matrix row for search filtering - for example, using the price in a price range filter ?

Or is there no way of using a particular matrix cell in Low Search ?

Thanks

Andy

Just to save time, I've added some SQL when the products get added/updated to copy the relevant matrix cell to a plain old text field, which can be used in the sort, so no panic on this one.

I would be interested in whether it could be done though.

    Thanks

Low Search cannot target specific Matrix rows, but Sift might. It might work along side Low Search.
