No results and segment_3 is odd in results-page.

Riverboy 14 Jun 2013 21:08 question, complete

Hi. Just bougth Low Search and tried to use the simplest form tags from your documents. I created one collection, set that into form but the results-page renders something like this to segment_3: eyJjb2xsZWN0aW........

I dont understand what im doing wrong. Just a simple search form with one collection, search from "all". And copy-pasted the results-tag into my results-page.

Thanks.

The URI is supposed to look like that. If you pass on the segment to the query parameter in the Results tag, using query="{segment_3}", you should see the search results.

Also, make sure you have assigned weight > 0 to your fields in your search collection.

Hi. I removed collection from the form so it should search site wide but even now it doesnt show up anything more than "no results".

    Okay, I need your code:

    - Your Form tag
    - Your Results tag
    - Collection details (weighted fields per collection)
    - Extension settings
    - Template Debugger output for the Results page when showing no results

You can use http://pastie.org for large chunks of code.

Is it more easier if i deliver account details?

    Thanks

I searched for "mukaan" and got results.

If you're getting inconsistent results, I think the problem lies with Publisher. It changes Low Search significantly by using its hooks. So if you're having trouble getting that to work, also do ask BoldMinded.
