Low Events field required within safecracker

Low Events field required (despite CP setting) within safecracker (even if field is not included in form). Receive error:
Start date is invalid
End date is invalid

   What version of Low Events, EE and PHP are you running?
   
   What is your SafeCracker template code (use http://pastie.org/ for big chunks of code)?
   
   So you've set the LE field to Required in the field settings in the CP?

   Latest version of low events, and EE (2.6.1), mySQL I believe is 5.1.68

   In order to get the form to process I have added {field:live_date}, just figured this shouldnt be necessary

   Does the Channel Field Group associated with the "articles" channel contain the Low Events field?

   Yes, I have one global field group for the different channels

   That'll be why. But I can see how that can be confusing. I'll make a note of it to improve that behaviour in a future version.

   Cool, yea it wouldn't have come up but we added the field for admin use (through CP) and all the safecracker forms broke as a result. Thanks again!
