Low No Spam Typepad API key errors

damienmajer 9 Apr 2013 09:29 problem, rejected

Hi

I am experiencing issues all of a sudden with Low No Spam and Typepad Anti Spam where submitting comments returns an error stating that the API Key may be invalid or unable to receive your comment at this time.

I am aware that Typepad have retired the service and are allegedly seamlessly rerouting requests to Imperium without interruption. However, api.antispam.typepad.com seems to be producing a 404 error.

Thanks

Not much I can do about that, I'm afraid. I'd suggest switching to Akismet.

The service is still available, its just managed by Imperium now. I just wondered, even though they said the transition would be seamless, if perhaps the api host location needs updating?

api.antispam.typepad.com returns a 404, however api.typepad.com returns the attached screen...

That API looks like it has nothing to do with their Anti Spam service, but with actual TypePad content.

Indeed, Imperium said the transition would be seemless, but if it isn't (and they're not letting us know) then my hands are tied.

I understand that. I'll see what Typepad/Imperium have to say.

Anyone figure this out? I'm getting these errors now as well.

The solution for now is: switch to Akismet. TypePad/Imperium seemed to have messed up the transition. Nothing I can do about that from this side.
