Strange behaviour with time settings

MalTek 6 Apr 2013 21:40 problem, complete

I am getting a lot of odd behaviour, some of which is related to just changing time due to daylight savings time.

This is the first time I have used Low Events so I am not sure if this behaviour happens on other days but thought I better document it for you.

Obviously one thing is the time when selected, it changes automatically to an hour before.

Two things are becoming very annoying though and make it unusable.

The default duration is set to 120 minutes but it isn't working. It usually sets it to the same time as I have selected but occasionally it stays on a time previous to what I have selected and that then changes the second date to the following day. (Makes it a longer process but I just know my client will miss this and end up with events spanning days)

The deal breaker is that for some reason my times only go from 12:00am to 10.30pm? It is missing 11:00pm and 11:30pm.

I am trying to set an event with an end time of 10:00pm so I need to select 11:00pm but it isn't there. If I type in 11:00pm it resets it to 9:00pm. If I type in 11:30pm it resets it to 9:30pm. If I type in 12:00am it accepts it and sets the end date to the next day.

Help please, this is very annoying lol

I am running v1.1.3 of Low Events and v2.5.5 of EE

I think this is mostly an environmental issue, so in order to replicate, I'll need access to your installation. If you could, please send superadmin login credentials to hi at gotolow dot com.

Just checked and it is all fine now. Seems to have been a daylight savings time issue causing all behaviour.

I had the super admin user and also the site wide time settings set the same. I tried with both daylight savings time on and off and the same result.

If you still want super admin access to have a look just let me know, happy to send it through.

It's not a great problem since it might only happen twice a year and fall on a Sunday when no one is working. Would be good to get it sorted at some stage but might be out of your hands if the problem lies in the time picker software.

Thanks for getting back and if there is anything I can do to help just let me know.

Just to document the problems I had.
    * When a time was selected, it reverted back one hour
    * When a time was typed in, it reverted back two hours.
    * The time shown in the time picker drop down (At least the end time, sorry I didn't check the start time) had lost the last hour of choices. (11:30pm and 11:00pm)
    * When a start time was selected the end time that was automatically selected was 2 hours behind (Elaborate below)

E.g. If I wanted to pick 6:00pm, I would have to pick 7:00pm for the start time. This would revert back to 6:00pm and if I had the default end time to be 120 mins later it would also choose 6:00pm. When I had the default end time at 60 mins it would select 5:00pm (and change the end date to the next day accordingly)

Ah good, and thanks for the writeup. I think there's a new version of the packed timepicker available. I'll make sure the upgrade is added to Low Events.
