Low Variables: Can't save to file

Sean 8 Feb 2013 21:34 problem, complete

I just installed low variables 2.3.3 in a new EE 2.5.5 install and have turned on save as files and set the file path which I copied from the global template preferences so all my files would be in the same location.

low variables are not saving as files, but my regular templates are and they both have the same file path so it's not a permissions issue. Any idea why this would be happening?

/my/server/path/to/templates/

Not sure if it would work saving the vars in the same dir as the templates -- that might cause conflicts.

The vars should be saved in a subfolder which is the site short name, so /my/server/path/to/templates/default_site/

I'd try creating a folder for vars: /my/server/path/to/vars/ and make sure it is writeable.

Make sure you set Save As File to Yes for each var you want to save as a file.
