Spam Protection for Low Search?

Dustin Hansen 24 Jan 2013 00:17 question, complete

Is there any way to implement spam protection in Low Search? Can we disable HTML and/or URLs in the keywords field? We are getting spammed with tons of queries where the keywords field looks like:

There's no built-in spam protection, currently. I will look into what measures could be taken.

Thanks. I think a honeypot field might suffice? Or maybe just a way to maintain a blacklist.
