Can this be a personal event calendar per logged in member?

John Moylan 24 Nov 2012 10:30 question, complete

Hello,

Can low events be used for a per user calendar?

Example 1: If I registered on EECI Conf but wanted to keep a track of the sessions that I was interested in attending I could add sessions to my low event calendar.

Example 2: I wanted to book a meeting with someone at EECI and add that to my calendar.

In short can it be used as a personal event calendar on a per logged in user basis.

many thanks
John

Low Events doesn't do this out of the box, but you could achieve it with the help of another add-on, I think.

The way you describe it, 'keeping track of events' sounds like adding an event as a favourite or bookmarking it. There should be multiple add-ons that allow you to do that, like Favorites, Bookmarks or Shortlist.

If such an add-on can give you back a list of fave'd entry IDs, then you could feed those to any Low Events tag and create a personalised list/calendar like that.

That sounds remarkably like a plan! Many thanks for the response Mr L, though you really shouldn't be working on a Sunday evening.

    Cheers
