Unable to Reorder Entries in IE9 - Low Reorder
Hello I reached out to you all a while ago and you provide some support on the following concern.
"I have a client on EEv 2.1.1 with Low Reorder v1.0.6 who is unable to reorder their Entries in IE9. I would like to first know if this is a known issue? And would there be any additional work required other then updating the Low Reorder Version? What would be the best version to upgrade too with the client remaining on EEv 2.1.1?"
In your reply you mentioned that there is possible an error in the JS files causing the issue i am experiencing. I know that my client is on an older version of EE that should be update however I am hoping I can find a temporary fixed before starting the process in updating EE and its addons.
I did attempt to update the version of Low Reorder from 1.2.1 to 2.0.2, but received an error message when running the module update "unabel to find helpers/low_reorder_helper.php". I checked the server and saw that that file did exist, so I'm not sure why the error is coming up.
My question to you. Is it possible for you to provide me with the Low Reorder Version 2.0.0 to see if i can update it 1 version?
I am also thinking that Low Reorder Version 1.2.1 has a bug in it for IE9. I have reviewed several different websites that have newer version of EE then 2.1.1 that still have an issues reordering entries when Low Reorder 1.2.1 is being used. Is it possible that there is a fix in place for that?

Updating LR to version 2+ on an EE 2.1.1 install won't work. As the docs state, it's only compatible with EE 2.4+.
I'm pretty sure this has to to with an older version of jQuery and jQuery UI in that ships with that version of EE. If you can, try the following:
- From the EE 2.1.1 installation, copy the /themes/javascript/compressed/jquery folder to a safe place
- From a fresh EE 2.4+ installation, take the same folder and put that in the EE 2.1.1 install.
Does that help at all?
