Time Picker 1 hour off

Rene 28 Oct 2012 13:06 problem, complete

Hi

I came across some weird behavior of the time picker. Let's say I want to enter an event that starts at 19.00 h, I have to select 20.00 h in the time picker. I have to select one hour off to get the time I want.

But that's not really solving it, when I store the entry and open it to edit again, the time jumps 1 hour back by itself, from 19.00 h to 18.00 h in the given example. It means whenever I open the entry and submit, it moves back one hour in time.

It seems not to be related to the localisation settings of EE, and it seems it was just a coincidence I've noticed it last night when DST switched back to normal in Switzerland, it seems unrelated and behaves like that on my local developmental server as well.

Regards, René

    Hi René,

Looks like JavaScript is responsible for changing the time by 1 hour. I'll look into it.

Seems to be an issue with the JS plugin used for the timepicker: https://github.com/jonthornton/jquery...

By the looks of it, the issue will resolve itself by tomorrow. I'll make sure a permanent fix is added.

So it was indeed related to the DST change! I was testing on a virtual machine and changed the date, and everything was back to normal. That also explains why it didn't catch my attention before, and why no one else so far complained - happens at two days in a year only, and outside of those days isn't an issue ...

Thanks for clearing that up, Lodewijk!

We've just changed our clocks back 1 hour for daylight savings in Australia and I am still getting the behaviour described above.
