Alphabetical Next/Prev for single entry

jamesrhull 17 Oct 2012 20:03 question, complete

Wondering if low_alphabet can do this - on my single entry pages I'd like to be able to setup the pagination to work based on the alphanumeric order, rather than date posted.

Is there anyway to use this add-on to do this or do I need something else? If it can't do that, can someone suggest another method?

Thank you!

    Hi!,

There currently isn't a good way to achieve this, I'm afraid. I will add it to my list of feature requests.

Hi back - thanks for the quick reply! Conceivably could I use Low Reorder, reorganize that whole channel alphabetically and then do it from there?

Yes, you could. Low Reorder does have prev/next tags available.

Well then it looks like I have some purchasing to do. One last thing - would it be possible to install a one-time "Alphabetize" button on the Reorder page itself? That way I could call up all the channel entries I have - over a hundred now - click the button and it would instantly alphabetize them (dropping the "The" if possible, etc.). Also, when more entries are entered - I could just go back in there and hit that button again, instead of having to manually do it?

Whenever you get the time, of course :)
