Need to get a Low Reorder set based on category in URL

moran tornesella 31 Aug 2012 17:33 question, complete

I need to pull from a set in Low Reorder based on a category name from the URL. Is this possible?

Do you need a specific set? Or is it the same set where you just need to change the category id? If the latter is the case, consider using Low Seg2Cat.

In the other case, maybe try simple conditionals with preload replace variables.

I am having a similar issue. My template is displaying entries based on a dynamic category. I have created a separate set for each category and need to display the proper set based on the category we are showing

    How can this be achieved?

I also need this to work if the client adds a new category and a new set to match this category the template will display properly automatically with no code editing required when a new set/category is added to the site.

IF I use "Show entries per single category" will this solve my problem?

Seems this way I could use a single set to order all my entires in one channel but many caregories

    Hi Peter,

That's exactly why there is a "Show entries per single category" setting. Using that, you only need 1 set and a category id to get to a list of ordered entries.

    See the docs here: http://gotolow.com/addons/low-reorder...
And a screenshot of such a set here: http://gotolow.com/assets/addons/reor...
