Russ Back 24 Aug 2012 11:03 problem, active

Hey Low

Just installed LV on a client site and when trying to use a file fieldtype, I get the the following error:

Unable to locate the model you have specified: file_model

EE is build 20120606, latest LV.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

    Hi Russ,

Can you check whether the file_model.php file is in the /system/expressionengine/models/ directory?

Hmmm... appears not. What EE version is required for LV?

Your build suggests you're on the latest version, right? Maybe an upgrade was incomplete?

This is strange (a site that I've inherited so trying to work this out). Config reports 2.1.0 and when you log in, there are two builds reported:

    v2.1.0 - © Copyright 2003 - 2010 EllisLab, Inc.
Script executed in 5.6958 seconds - 22 SQL queries used - Build: 20100810

And then when you click on the ExpressionEngine Info accessory tab...

    Version and Build

The current version of ExpressionEngine is v

Which is where I got 20120606 from.

    So looks like 2.1.0

    That too old for files?

Yeah, the file module was introduced in 2.2.0: http://expressionengine.com/user_guid... so that's what you'd need.
