Can I use Search to point to results at urls generated by GWcode and LowSeg2Cat?

thatdeadpixel 20 Aug 2012 20:13 question, complete

I'm using GWcode and LowSeg2Cat to generate a product list sub navigation. We want to add a search form to the site and I'm trying to figure out if any of the search plugins will work with the urls generated by GWcode to point to product category pages.

An example page is here

In that url, the segment breakdown is as follows...

site.com/template_group/template/parent_category/child_category/

Is there any way for your search plugin to work with this? Thanks for any help!

You can create any link you want, just like using the channel:entries tag. However, you cannot pre-define a certain url-structure to automatically generate that link for you. You'd have to get creative with the {path=""} variable, I guess.
