Heiko 9 Jul 2012 19:58 question, complete

How can I setup a P&T-switch-field to be available on the frontend as a language switcher?

Or if that's not possible:

How can I set the active option for a radio-variable inside of my templates? I've really tried to extract this information from the DOCs, but wasn't able to figure it out by myself.

Thanks! :)

Are you trying to create a language switch/links for a multi-lingual site?

    Exactly!

Right now, I'm using variables in the form of {term_{country_code}} and I want to set the {country_code} variable dynamically.

I'm not quite sure about how to achieve this, does it depend on the URI-structure alone? I mean, do I have to have a language prefix like mysite.com/en/ in the URI?

    Thanks!

There's an article on the EE Wiki which I'd point you at, but it seems the wiki has mysteriously disappeared. It basically tells you to set the language variable in the index.php file. I'll wait and see if the wiki will re-appear, then link to it.

That would be awesome! Thank you!

Check the bottom of that page for EE2 instructions.
