Can yearly archives work with custom date fields instead of entry dates?
Hi Low - just wondering if your yearly archives might be in some way configured to work with custom date fields and not the native EE entry date field, for the simple reason that in my case, I'm listing out "statements" that have three different dates associated with them, and whichever is the most recent gets used in the sort order. And so I'm looking to create yearly archives, but have them ignore the entry date and instead use my custom date field of "statement_sort_date". I'm using Solspace's Date Filter add-on to effectively remap the date sorting to this custom field, which works great for the master views, but archives are proving to be a challenge.
Other related question - I have to assume that your yearly archives still works with pagination, right? Either EE-native or your own?

YA isn't configured to work with a custom date, but I guess it could be made to. It currently doesn't really use the entry_date field, but the hidden year and month fields that are stored along with it in the exp_channel_titles table.
And the YA actually don't use pagination. It's just one list of months per year, depending on the range you enter.
