Defining the order in which variables are shown in CP

peter 25 Jun 2012 13:33 problem, rejected

Question and/or feature request:

Can I control the order in which variables are presented to the user in the control panel? I often use Low Variables to manage variables that are linked to eachother. For instance a sliders' slide-content and -duration, which I'd like to present like so:

Slide 1 content
Slide 1 duration
Slide 2 content
Slide 2 duration

etc.

Before you ask, I cannot always use a matrix, so please don't tell me to use that.

Right now, I can't really find any logical order the fields are shown as; doesn't seem to be alphabetical, and it isn't ID related either, since last entered fields don't always come at the end.

Am I missing something?

You can order variables in a group by editing that group and drag/drop the vars in the order you want.
