Low Variables & Matrix & Assets creating link errors

Hi Low,

I'm using LV in conjunction with the addons above and am running into errors with how links to uploaded pdfs are being rendered on the front end.

PDF links are being output with filedir_1 and escaped curly braces - honestly not sure if this is LV or Matrix or Assets, but only having an issue in LV.

   Are you using the {exp:low_variables:parse} tag? If not, please do.
