Low NoSpam MySQL errors during intall when Comments module is not active
Hi Low,
I'm getting errors when installing NoSpam on a site where the Comments module is enabled that the exp_comments table cannot be found. (We're using the extension to blog registration and forums spam only).
No big deal and probably a rare case, but I had to delete the entries for NoSpam in the exp_extensions and exp_accessories module before I could get back to the CP without errors, enable the comments module and reinstall.
I just wanted to report it so you can consider adding a check for if the comments module is active or not into your install routine.
Thanks for the great add-on!

Oops, just a clarification that the first line should read "... where the Comments module is DISabled..."

Hi Mike,
Thanks for reporting. The add-on started as a comment spam prevention add-on, hence the lack of the check. Noted.

Just came across this issue myself as I'm using Disqus comments but wanted to take advantage of Low NoSpam's other anti-spam features.
The only way I could do anything in the CP (due to the DB error) was to temporarily rename the accessory file to acc.low_nospam2.php, then access the CP to install the comments module, then rename the accessory file back to acc.low_nospam.php.
Would be nice to be able to use this add-on without the Comment module (assuming it's not just the Accessory that needs it).
Thanks,
Stephen

Any plans for a fix for this? I just ran into this and our whole control panel broke.

I have a new version of Low NoSpam in the works. Will look into releasing it after some thorough testing. No ETA, tho.
