Language groups

Fernstrg 10 May 2012 09:54 idea, complete

Problem: You built a site with three different languages and created all of the necessary Low Variables. Now the site owner decides that she wants a fourth language. Now you have to create LV's for that language one by one.

Solution: A new feature I will call Language groups. When creating a new group you can make it a language group by ticking a box. In LV's settings you add the language suffixes you need (i.e. "en fr nl"). All variables that are created in the language group are automatically replicated for all entered suffixes.
Now the magic part: You add a fourth suffix in LV's settings (i.e. "de en fr nl") and *boom* all of the variables in the group are replicated with the new suffix.

Take a look at the Group duplication bit in the docs. There you can choose to replace a suffix with another upon duplication. Is that *boom* enough? :)

    I'd never seen that. Awesome!
