Order entries by status: is it possible?
Hello,
I have a very specific problem on a very large website and I'd like to know if Low Reorder can solve it. I've never used your add-on so I hope it's not a silly question.
I need to retrieve entries with different statuses with the exp:channel:entries tag, using something like
{exp:channel:entries channel="magazine" orderby="date" limit="1" status="status_1|status_2|status_3" disable="member_data|pagination|trackbacks" }
The difficult part is ordering such entries by status, i.e. entry with status_1 must appear before the one with status_2 and status_3 must be the last one.
Can this be done using Low Reorder?

Hi,
Low Reorder allows you to drag and drop entries in a custom order and display them in that order. However, it doesn't allow you to create custom sorting only based on parameters.
So, with Low Reorder, you could manually order a list in the order you want, but if you regularly add entries with your custom statuses, you'd have to manually order them again to get the listing you'd want.
Make sense?

Thanks for the reply Low.
Yes, your explanation makes sense. I'll check with my client if she can change her workflow to adapt to Low Reorder: they publlish new entries daily, which means she should manually order them every day.
