Send or OK button for Low Variables file upload dialogue

stinhambo 22 Nov 2010 04:29 idea, rejected

I think it would help to have an ok or upload button available when uploading files via Low Variables.

I was scratching my head wondering why nothing was working after I chose the correct file!

Hmm, not sure about this one. It would have to be some kind of Ajax upload functionality. Right now, 'save changes' saves all vars, and uploads new files. If there was a 'Send' button, it shouldn't submit the whole form...

Damn, I didn't even notice the save changes button at the bottom for some reason. Maybe it's just me (a bit slow) but perhaps add a label that says "Click Save Changes below"?

I should pay more attention obviously...

How were you saving the vars before, then? :)

I reckon such a label won't be necessary in most cases -- Once you know it's there, you probably know what it does... But I might consider tweaking the UI so it stands out more.

It's just the file upload threw me. For some reason I expected to click ok to upload the file THEN save changes.
