Error messages in Module tab, EE 1.6.9

Brendon Carr 10 Oct 2010 11:50 question, complete

I've just installed Low Variables 1.3.1 on an EE 1.6.9 setup (slowness of EE2 CP drove me crazy), and getting the following error messages. This is a fresh install, no other extensions/modules installed.

Warning: Unknown: open(/www/eh5xxx/sessiondata/sess_8f0p6ebllhpbhagrhdms277b51, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/www/eh5xxx/sessiondata) in Unknown on line 0

For visibility, I'll paste my reply to your email here:

I haven't seen these error messages before, and at first glance, they seem unrelated to LV. Where are you seeing these error messages -- in the CP or front end of the site? And do these errors disappear when you uninstall LV?

The error messages point to what appears to be a directory for storing session data, without mentioning any of the LV files. I'd also recommend pointing this out to the EllisLab crew.
