Low Reorder and next_entry tag?

binocle 13 Jul 2010 20:06 question, complete

Hi,

I have just purchased and installed Your nice Reorder module. Thanks for your work, it seems great.

However, I was hoping it would "bypass" the DB order used by {exp:channel:next_entry} tag, but even after I reorder my entries, the next_entry tag still use the "old" order.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi!

Hmm, it looks like the next/prev entry tags cannot be sorted by custom field. That's rather silly. Sit tight, I'll find a workaround and get back to you.

Okay, so I added my own prev/next entry tags to the module. Download version 1.0.2 and read the docs, then you should be able to achieve what you're after.

    Wow ^__^
That is more than dedicated customer service, thanks a lot.
I had created a post in EE forums about this previous/next trouble, I'll update it with your marvelous solution.
    Thanks again, it's perfect.

Glad you got it working. Always good to get a decent feature request, even if it wasn't intended as one. :)
